OBJECTIVES
- Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Counsel patients regarding alloimmunization and use of noninvasive screening tests for fetal blood type
• Diagnose and manage abnormal findings in the placenta and umbilical cord
• Improve management of fetal heart rate tracings in labor
• Counsel patients and manage twin gestations
• Minimize the impact of childbirth on the pelvic floor
• Diagnose, evaluate, and manage autoimmune
disorders in pregnancy
• Evaluate and manage patients with a short cervix in
pregnancy
• Counsel and manage patients with previable preterm
rupture of membranes
• Understand the contribution of state perinatal collaboratives to improved pregnancy outcomes
