This comprehensive video library includes 29 perforator and axial pattern skin flap dissections in the head and neck, trunk, and upper and lower extremity. Each segment includes an introduction discussing why the flap is important and how it’s commonly used for reconstruction. Illustrations and 3-D CT angiograms clearly display landmark and vascular anatomy, and cadaver dissection videos demonstrate how to safely harvest and elevate flaps. Cases are included for many flaps demonstrating clinical applications for multiple reconstructive options, and important points are emphasized for each flap in “Pearls & Pitfalls.” Broad considerations of flap dissection and placement are also addressed in a segment called “General Principles of Flap Dissection.” The table of contents is organized by anatomic region for easy reference.
3-D CT Scans
3-D CT imaging clearly displays the vascular anatomy and perforators of each flap.
Illustrations
Beautiful, labeled illustrations demonstrate deep anatomy relating to each flap, including major vessels and their perforators.
Dissection Videos
Cadaver dissection videos demonstrate how to safely harvest and elevate each flap, and narration provides ample tips for successful harvest. Markings, incision, dissection, and the final harvested flap are shown.
