The Lupus Program was officially created in 2007, however, the contributing physicians have been dedicated to the specialized care of patients with lupus for decades. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is an extraordinarily complex autoimmune rheumatic disease that occurs primarily in women of childbearing age, which is best addressed by a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis, treatment, and research. Our program goals are to provide state-of-the-art multidisciplinary care, with a team of rheumatologists, nephrologists, pulmonologists, hematologists, dermatologists, and high-risk obstetricians and gynecologists.
