Purpose Statement
Duke Radiology A Comprehensive Review of Musculoskeletal MRI, 1st 2014 A Comprehensive Review of Musculoskeletal MRI features Duke Radiology’s Clyde Helms, M.D., providing a thorough analysis and update of imaging techniques relevant to this continually emerging subspecialty. Dr. Helms will focus upon the current status of imaging for specialized anatomic areas such as the knee, wrist, shoulder, hip, spine, foot, ankle and elbow. Effective imaging protocols for each will be discussed from design to implementation. With over sixteen hours of in depth musculoskeletal MRI presentations and hundreds of images, this activity will provide an excellent opportunity for radiologists to review current imaging procedures, while also integrating cutting edge innovations to the practice.
Educational Objectives
Following this continuing medical education activity, Radiologists should be able to:
- 1. Discuss the current musculoskeletal MR imaging procedures
- 2. Design and implement appropriate musculoskeletal imaging protocols
- 3. Apply the current advances in musculoskeletal imaging to diagnosing disease processes in the elbow, knee, wrist, shoulder, spine, hip, foot and ankle
Clyde A. Helms, M.D. of Duke Radiology provides an intensive review and update of musculoskeletal MR imaging techniques. Features a detailed discussion of the design and implementation of MSK imaging protocols for all specialized anatomic areas. This program reviews current imaging procedures and integrates the newest techniques to optimize image quality.
