Include: 2 videos + 1 pdf, size: 1.59 GB

 Target Audience: cardiologists, geneticists, pathologists

 Information:

This program, presented by Cleveland Clinic’s Genomic Medicine Institute (GMI) and the Center for Personalized Genetic Healthcare (CPGH), will review the latest advances in the genetics and genomics of cardiovascular conditions and provide state-of-the-art information to healthcare providers. Expert Cleveland Clinic and guest faculty will present clinical- and research-based presentations highlighting the integration of genetics and genomics into clinical practice.

Cleveland Clinic 10th Annual Genetics Education Symposium 2024

Why attend?

  • Hear from leading experts in cardiovascular genetics
  • Your choice of format – attend in-person in Cleveland or via live stream
  • Network with colleagues and exhibitors

After completing this educational activity, participants will be able to do the following:

  • Identify red flags for genetic cardiovascular diseases in a patient’s personal and family health history and identify instances where understanding genotype may improve patient care.
  • Examine the role of genetic testing in the diagnostic and management processes for patients with cardiovascular diseases, including congenital heart disease, arrhythmia, bicuspid aortic valve, and left-sided obstructive heart malformations.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional healthcare team members to discuss current management practices for patients diagnosed with, or at risk for, genetic cardiovascular diseases.
  • Assess novel genetics practice models for cardiovascular diseases.

Who Should Attend?

The Symposium is targeted to physicians, geneticists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals seeking to learn the latest developments in cardiogenetics, especially providers in Cardiology, Clinical Genetics, Molecular Genetics Pathology, Internal Medicine and Subspecialties, Pediatrics, and Nursing. Trainees and students with an interest in expanding their knowledge of genomic medicine and related topics are also encouraged to attend.
